Club Profile

Nestled across 48 picturesque hectares on Liverpool Road in Kilsyth, Eastwood Golf Club is a welcoming community sporting club offering golf, bowls, dining, functions and more.

Our mission is simple: to provide a viable and sustainable community sporting club for our membership and the wider community.

At the heart of Eastwood is our renowned 18-hole golf course, widely regarded as one of Melbourne’s leading clay-belt courses. Beautifully presented and offering an enjoyable challenge for golfers of all abilities, the course welcomes members, guests and visitors alike, with membership enquiries always welcome.

Beyond golf, Eastwood offers two bowling greens, a spacious function room, bistro dining, Members Lounge and ATM facilities, all within a friendly, relaxed and smoke-free environment.

With panoramic views across the course and beautifully maintained surrounds, Eastwood is also an ideal setting for private celebrations, special occasions, community events and corporate golf days. Our versatile function facilities can be tailored to suit everything from relaxed gatherings to milestone celebrations and larger events.

Golfers can also take advantage of our fully equipped Golf Shop, along with professional golf tuition and coaching designed to help players of all levels improve their game and get more enjoyment from their golf.

Whether you’re here to play, dine, celebrate or simply enjoy the surroundings, there’s something for everyone at Eastwood Golf Club.

OUR ICONIC TREE SCULPTURE

One of Eastwood Golf Club’s most distinctive landmarks began with a little creative thinking — and a Cypress tree that had reached the end of its life.

Standing beside the 1st tee, the large Cypress had become a safety concern and was scheduled for removal. Rather than remove it entirely, the Club saw an opportunity to preserve part of the tree and transform its remaining trunk into something truly unique.
With the generous support of Eastwood members Mike Rawlinson and Roger Earle, renowned chainsaw sculptor Rob Bast was commissioned to bring the tree to life once more.

Using chainsaws as his primary tools, Rob transformed the towering trunk into an intricate sculpture depicting a golfer with his bag and clubs, surrounded by native birdlife. Work commenced in March 2015 and, over the course of just two weeks, an ordinary tree trunk became an extraordinary piece of art.

The remarkable level of detail in the carving continues to capture the attention of members and visitors more than a decade later.

Today, the sculpture proudly overlooks the 1st tee and has become an unmistakable part of the Eastwood experience — a favourite photo stop, a conversation starter and a landmark unlike anything you’ll find on a typical golf course.

What began as the necessary removal of a tree has become a lasting piece of Eastwood’s history.
